Hemodialysis Catheter

Ablecath hemodialysis catheters come in various sizes, including: 11.5FR, 12.5FR, 15FR, 6.5FR, and 8.5FR. For adequate blood flow rates, double lumen catheters should ideally have a diameter between 12 and 14 French. Double lumen catheters have a few features, including: A distal end for blood from the dialyzer A proximal end for blood going to the dialyzer A pinching clamp to stop back flow A soft tapered tip to reduce trauma to the patient
